Why PropTrust exists
Buying or renting property in Singapore is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever make. The agent you pick matters — but until now, there's been no easy way to vet them beyond word-of-mouth and a 30-minute PropertyGuru search.
The problem
The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) keeps a public register of every active salesperson and the agency they work for, plus 36 months of closed transactions. That data is free, on data.gov.sg. But it's spread across CSV downloads and a search form — not the kind of thing you'd use to compare five agents before a viewing.
Meanwhile, reviews on the big portals are pay-to-play — agents buy visibility and the ratings get distorted. We think there's a better way.
What we do
- •Mirror the full CEA salesperson register (38,000+ agents) and 1.3M closed transactions, daily, for free.
- •Let customers write reviews, gated by a verified email. The reviewer's name appears, the agent can respond.
- •Show an agent's actual CEA-registered agency, so you know exactly who they work for and can look up the firm independently.
- •Never sell placements. Never boost agents. The order you see is the order the data says.
Where the data comes from
Every row on PropTrust is traceable to data.gov.sg under the Singapore Open Data Licence. We don't scrape other portals. We don't buy contact lists. See our full data-source notes and our trust model.
